Our Roots
In 1972, Phil Rivers and Rick Hajjar started a swimming pool business together. When the swimming pool season came to a close, they opened a sporting goods store, the Sport Loft, to keep them in business over the winter. Over the years, the interest in skiing grew, and their sporting goods store became exclusively geared towards skis and snowboards. The two have expanded their business from one small location on Lunenburg Street in Fitchburg to six retail locations throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Phil passed away in September of 2013, and Rick is still actively involved in the business. Both have family members who are part of the staff in several of their locations.

Our summer business, Surfside Pool Company, enables us to employ our staff year round, ensuring you veteran personnel in each of our stores every year.

Our Focus
Throughout our six locations you’ll find a complete line of ski and snowboard equipment, apparel, and accessories. For the outdoor enthusiasts, cross country skis and snowshoes are available for purchase and for rent. We offer full workshop services, including equipment tuning, binding mounts, and repairs to your ski or board. Our certified technicians use state of the art tuning equipment to ensure a great ride every time you hit the slopes. Our turnaround time for shop work varies from just a few days to on the spot when a technician is on duty.
